Sri Swami Charitra Saramrit English Translation Chapter 10

Shree Swami Samarth

Shree Swami Samarth, my salutations to all Swami devotees. Today we are going to learn about Sri Swami Charitra Saramrita Chapter Ten.

It is because of our previous meritorious deeds that we got this human birth and this Sri Swami Charitra Saramrita is being written by our hands. Expressing gratitude for this, the writer starts writing further stories.

In a village called Haveri, there lived a Yajurvedi Brahmin named Balappa, who was engaged in the trade of Sarafi (jwellery). There was no shortage of happiness, prosperity and wealth in the house. They were getting all kinds of happiness. At the age of 30, his mind began to fade. And they felt altruistic. Existence is fleeting. Instead of running after the pleasures of it, Balappa decided to turn to eternal and liberating altruism.

One night Balappa had a dream. On receiving a favorable signal in the dream, he left his household saying that he had some work to do in Solapur. And started wandering elsewhere in search of Sadhguru.

Walking around, Balappa reached the village of Murgod. A well-known legend named Chidambara Dixit was living at Murgod.

While introducing Chidambara Dixit, the author says that a pious Brahmin named Malhar Dixit lived in Murgod village. He was well versed in Vedas. But he didn’t have children so he was always sad. Malhar Dixit did penance for twelve years to get a child. Then he got the benefit of son due to Shiva Prasad.

In reality, Shri Shankara was born in the belly of Malhar Dixit’s wife. Later this child became proficient in all kinds of studies. At the age of eight, the boy proved his divinity by bringing a clay elephant to life. The kingdom of Rao Baji Peshwa, who was dealing with him, went on perish.

Shri Swami himself was present in the Mahayagya ceremony of Chidambara Dikshit. And the book writers write that Sri Swami was responsible for growing ghee. When the ghee ran out during the meal, Sri Swami casually touched the urns and miraculously supplied everyone with ghee. This has been narrated by the author. Balappa entered Chidambara Dixit’s land. And here ends the tenth chapter of Sri Swami Charitra Saramrita. Shri Swami Samarth, Jai Jai Swami Samarth.

Along with this we are giving you the tenth chapter of original Swami charitra Saramrita.
