Sri Swami Charitra Saramrut English Translation Chapter 16

Shree Swami Samarth, my salutations to all Swami devotees. Today we are going to learn about Sri Swami Charitra Saramrit Chapter Sixteen.
After offering salutations to Shri Ganesha, the poet begins to narrate the next chapter. In order to protect the devotees, Shri Dutt actually appeared on earth in the form of a yati. And that Sri Swami lived in Akkalkot for many years. At that time many devotees of Sri Swami passed away but the best devotee was Swami Suta.
Authors are narrating the biography of Swamisuta by asserting that whoever listens to this biography of Bhakta Swamisuta with full faith, all his great sins will be removed.
At that time a gentleman named Hari Bhau was living in Mumbai. This Maratha nobleman lived in Mumbai for work, but his village was Itia village in Konkan, also Rajapur taluka. His house was prosperous. And his mother and younger brother were staying with him.
While in Mumbai, Hari Bhau had a friend named Pandit. Due to bankruptcy, he was deeply in debt. While this is the case, Pandits understand about Sri Swami. Then Pandit vowed to Shri Swami that if I become debt free in eight days, I will come to Akkalkot for darshan. Seven days passed but no good news was received.
The eighth day dawned and it was as if a miracle had happened. Another friend of Haribhau was tired of life due to debt. That friend’s name was Gajanan. He had invested all his money in shares in the opium trade. Gajanana suffered huge losses due to falling shares.
Then Haribhau and Gajanan meet the Pandit and tell the whole truth to the Pandit. Then Pandit says there is no doubt that I too have incurred a lot of debt. And if confiscation comes, our dignity will be destroyed.
Pandita did a trick, wrote on the pedhi that he was the owner of both of them. Both agreed to it and then the news of the increase in the share price reaches the ears of the three. And they become rich after paying off all their debts.
Pandit then tells Haribhau and Gajanana the reality of their vows to Sri Swami. They tell Haribhau and Gajanana that it is by Sri Swami’s grace that they are debt free and now they want to go to Akkalkot for Sri Swami’s darshan. And all three of them come to Akkalkot to see Sri Swami.
On reaching Akkalkot all the three meet Sri Swami. They worship Sri Swami with devotion. Then Shri Swami calls Gajanana as Shiva, Pandita as Ram and Haribhau as Maruti. And he sanctifies the three by chanting mantras. Bless their lives.
Shri Swami gave the mantra to Haribhau, ‘Gurur Brahma Gurur Vishnu Gurur Devo Maheshwara | Gurur Sakshat Parabrahma Tasmai Shri Gurvai Namah|| And he is ecstatic. Also, Shri Swami gives the mantra to Gajanana, ‘Akashat patitan toyam yatha gachchati sagaram | Sarva devo namskaraha Kesavam Prati Gachhati || And Gajanan also becomes happy after hearing the mantra. And also calling the pandits near, Sri Swami sanctifies them with the mantra, Idmeva Shivam Idmeva Shivam | Idmeva Shivam Idmeva Shiva: ||
Haribhau, Pandit and Gajanan bring three hundred rupees Dakshina with them when they come to see Sri Swami. And asks Sri Swami what to do about it. Then Shri Swami orders to make silver shoes with that money. This is why Hari Bhau becomes obsessed with Sri Swami. Haribhau starts coming to Akkalkot frequently. He enjoyed serving Sri Swami.
Later Shri Swami, started to consider Haribhau as his Son. Shri Swami ordered Haribhau to rob his life and possessions and put tulsi leaves on the house and asked him to wear saffron clothes. Haribhau does so and donates all his ornaments to his wife by giving her white clothes. Later, Shri Swami established a Math at Girgaon, Sea face in Mumbai. And engages oneself wholeheartedly in the service of Sri Swami.
Thus the author concludes the sixteenth chapter of Sri Swami Charitra Saramrita by narrating the biography of Swamisuta. Shri Swami Samarth, Jai Jai Swami Samarth ||
