Sri Swami Charitra Saramrit English Translation Chapter 20
Shree Swami Samarth, my salutations to all Swami devotees. Today we are going to learn about Sri Swami Charitra Saramrita Adhyaya twenty.
The librarian has saluted Shri Ganesha and narrated that I have taken up the hobby of narrating your (Shri Swami Samarth) biography. But even if I had thousands of hands, what would a dim-witted like me describe your entire qualities, describe your many lilas?
Still, by the grace of Sri Swami, nineteen chapters have been completed till date. And this twentieth chapter is going to be narrated for the listeners. The author further says that by hearing and reciting this chapter, all the sins of a person are burnt away. Both the listener and the reciter are purified.
Living in Akkalkot, Sri Swami showed many Leelas to the people. He saved many sinners by guiding them properly. Such is the wonderful biography of Sri Swami.
One day a good man came to Akkalkot with a desire to see Sri Swami. Coming near Sri Swami, he sang praises of Sri. And placed the head on the feet of Sri Swami. Then Shri Swami told him, give food to the fakirs with open hands and all your wishes will be fulfilled. The householder prepared various kinds of dishes and fed the five fakirs obeying Sri Swami’s command.
The fakir got up after eating and there was some food left in the plate. Then Sri Swami ordered the householder to take the remaining food. But as the gentleman was a superior Brahmin, got suspicious. If this Yavana’s food is eaten and my other men come to know about it, I will not be reproached among my relatives. As soon as such a thought came to the gentleman’s mind, Shri Swami said to the gentleman, “bad thoughts came to your mind, go away from here.” Hearing this, the gentleman bowed his head and left.
Then a deluded gentleman came and stood in front of Sri Swami. Having no work and suffering from poverty, he wandered day and night elsewhere, disillusioned. Then Shree Swami orders that delusional householder to take this remaining food and all your desires will be fulfilled. Money will be received.
The gentleman accepted the food without any doubt in his mind. Then Shri Swami told him to go to Mumbai immediately. You will get wealth. Then he came to Mumbai and started wandering elsewhere to get money.
In the early morning, wandering around, he comes to a house and stops. Then an old lady hurriedly opens the door and comes out. And makes that gentleman sit on a seat and serves food. After the meal, the old lady gave ten thousand rupees to the gentleman. Seeing money gain, the deluded householder comes to purification. That gentleman comes to know the words of Sri Swami. And he repeatedly starts singing the praises of Sri Swami.
How can a narrow minded like me narrate such Sri Swami’s Leela? Collecting some gems from this Shree Swami’s Leela repository and narrating to you.
